Ashley Catharine has always known her calling for the arts would shape her professional life. The LA native studied theatre at El Camino College before transferring to FIDM to cultivate her interest in fashion design. Whilst pursuing her education, Catharine worked in marketing with Costco Wholesale. In addition, she has created a name for herself in the spoken word community by competing on a national level, publishing a book, touring internationally, and appearing on TVOne and Lexus' "Verses and Flow".
She plans to continue forging an equally impressive reputation in the fashion industry by utilizing her patternmaking, garment construction, Illustrator, Photoshop and networking skills. Including creating designs for private clients, she has acquired applicable knowledge interning for stylist Monique Lauren, and high end brand JilRo, whose designs were featured in Neiman Marcus. She continued to further her career in fashion as a personal stylist in Southern California for Nordstrom. She is now based in Portland, OR and has developed leadership roles within the company first as an assistant manager in the fine jewelry department, and now as an assistant department manager in Men's casual and designer. Catharine is a creative and dynamic individual looking to further her career in the world of fashion.
